These devices are currently being sold by Analogic UK.

Not having enough memory is probably normal. FDD automatically uses some RAM for buffers.

I know, another question is if is normal that the CD32 SVHS output show video in black and white?

Yes and no.

If SVideo is plugged into a TV which is set to receive composite you will get B&W. Try some of the settings to switch between composite and svideo.

Also if you have an NTSC TV and a PAL CD32 (or vice versa) you will almost always get B&W because of the difference in standards for the colour burst.

If your CDTV is PAL and your TV is PAL and your TV has an SVideo socket AND the TV is set to SVideo then something is broken.

P.S. SVHS is a video cassette recording system, SVideo is a type of AV signal.
