Now that you've got all this stuff. Can you tell us where you got it all from? I am particularly curious as to where they got some of this stuff from.

Was it anyone famous or just a collector who scoured for rare stuff?

You sure that is an "Access" and not an "InsideOut"? The Access was a replacement Amiga motherboard whereas the InsideOut was the Amiga on a card.

Are you keeping the CDTV-CR?

You'll pay through the nose. Best get saving now.

You could wait a bit and email Jen's Schoenfeld to see if he's ever going to release his remake. (But I think you might be waiting forever?)

Buy an 8Mb NedoPC Fast RAM expansion for $40 in the mean time?

Sold Picasso IV with Concierto

Did you get the full price? I notice you had a few offers. I'm very curious to know if there is a volume demand (no pun intended) for Concierto cards. MASTATABS has the design plans for them and the code for the drivers etc.

The only down-side to a PIV is that it's maximum resolution in 24-bit is now below that of the native resolution of modern LCD panels and at maximum resolution it is quite slow (I dunno if that is the gfx chip, software or Zorro III bus).

That said it is the mutts nuts if you've never had an Amiga with a gfx card, especially if you have a CRT monitor which can do 50Hz.

I had only ever had a PIV before so I naturally assumed all Amiga gfx cards were as easy to use and so tightly coupled with scandoubler.

It wasn't until I saw a friend with a Voodoo3 Mediator that I realised how great they are.

We really need a new gfx card with integrated scandoubler if LCD's keep getting higher native resolutions with terrible down-scaling hardware. (Going off thread a bit)

even with slight pixelation, I'd choose an LCD over CRT any day just for convenience.

It's not pixelation though. It's scaler filter blurring and scan rate conversion. Bye bye smooth scrolling. But I think this discussion is for another time, and another thread.

I do not think anyone has the choice of CRT over LCD these days as they no longer make CRT monitors!

Your advert doesnt say which version your Paloma is.

Is it a UK one (PAL-I) or an EU one (PAL-B/G)?

Buy the wrong one for your region and you'll get no sound :-(

Edit: I can just see from the photo it says PAL/UK on it?

Yes, it says PAL-UK.

Looking at the current price there are a lot of UK users who want a TV tuner!! Especially considering it will be pretty useless in just over a year (when UK switches off the analog TV signals).

the gov is giving away free converter boxes. I'd bet the same thing is happening there.

We'll see. Digital TV takeup in the UK is much higher than in the US so the gov is under far less pressure to give away digiboxes. Unfortunately most UK digiboxes are SCART and do not have RF output.

Obviously others think it still has a use or they would not be bidding. Nice to see people fired up.

Interesting stuff. Non of my PAL A600's (got 3) have an FCC number or say US on them (they say MA). It looks like this PAL Amiga was made in the US?

Or the other way around. Vesalia used to sell replacement A600 cases and keyboards including USA layout.

But you are right, that A600 has a USA keyboard layout (and I missed it :-()

That info surprised me! If that is the case, what does the "P" stand for in A600P :-?

Apparently it stood for "Professional" indicating it did not come bundled with games.

Its stuck in a software loop, I think one of the roms are corrupt. (Dunno which mind)

Now is the time to ask redrumloa to dump them for you. I doubt whoever buys it will ever take it to bits again.
