Hi,
 there is a guy i know called Paul who repaired the broken pins in my A1200, he was quick, friendly, cheap and the repair was perfect if you're interested let me know!

ooops sorry just noticed you're in Oz, so umm the answer is yes they can be repaired!    :crazy:

but you can just replace the broken pin, if you have the skill
