Well, I'm sure you know the consequences if something goes wrong
Personally, I would replace/clean/repair the floppy drive. I replaced my older A2000 floppy drive, for about $60.00, recently and couldn't be happier. The guy on ebay that goes by the name "myamigashop" sells nothing but first rate Amiga gear. Anyhoo, good luck and it looks like a cool game! :)
