Pretty cool music software

For years been wondering if there was software that could rip tracks into their individual instruments.  Now there is.   Not really had chance to play with it.

Recommended specs are high quad core 4 gigs of ram.  Running it on single core 4 gig laptop so taking an hour to rip one track apart.

Like the idea of it.  If it is as good as it claims will be good for mixes/mash-ups.  Don' t know if bloodline and a few others would be interested in it?

I need to test it, but my gut feeling is it pulls out frequency bands and cancels out the stereo image, that is how I would isolate an audio part.

will do but as I said  running it on 1.8ghz sempron dell whilst running poker and few other things.   Might take awhile

I will be interested if I can easily remove vocal tracks and put in others.   Might try running it om my slightly more powerfil dual core amd 4200+

For info, vocal tracks are 9 times out of 10 mixed dead centre, to remove them from a mix, simply invert the left channel and then subtract it from the right. you will get some stereo effects (an expensive reverb for exmple) leaking through but not much.

I think it goes a bit further than that, looking at the embedded video. It seems to recognise that various frequencies are harmonics of other fundamental notes and keeps them together.

And I now have to try and resurrect a windows installation to try it :lol:

Yeah, my bootcamp partition malwared up (I didn't take any precautions with it), and I don't need Windows software anymore so I've not looked after it :-/
