What's wrong with knobs... I've spent many an evening fiddling with a knob or two, trying to derive some pleasure from my equipment...

Can I have one too?

Actually, I still fancy an Alesis Quadrasynth, even though old and neither analogue nor particularly advanced. It just looked so nice when it came out :-)

I used the RackMount version of the quadrasynth years ago... We did not have a happy relationship... I think I found the interface a bit of a pain...

Frustrated... I can't make it do anything other than make basic waves at various frequencies. I don't have the patience for it TBH...

That's good, because that's what you want to do... Now play with the amp envelope to get the sound to alter over time... Then use the other Ocilators to modify the basic wave sound :)

Ok, I'll try that! I don't actually know what amp envelopes or oscillators are... I don't suppose it really matters if I can get a feel for what they do.

I'd bet money he can't do what I'VE done in my career!!!

so he made a board that no one posts on??? how appropriate

Christ, even my own short lived (and soon to be reborn) website had a couple of people posting on it.

As far as the whole man vs. woman thing goes, about the only thing I can think of that a man can do that a woman can't is maintain the ability to reproduce after several years of doing high G turns in combat aircraft, and that's it. (apparently a woman's womb doesn't react well to such pressures), however, given Doomy's attitude, I'd say this was a distinct disadvantage as otherwise we could darwin him by having him thrown around in an F15 for a couple of hours being thrown around like a spin dryer.

Doomy deserves a Darwin Award for managing to remove himself from the gene pool, though his own stupidity :-)

Probably quite pleased with himself... the deluded tend to be much happier than the enlightened :-(
