Yes, everything will be exactly as it was before the Jailbreak. You won't lose anything.

Don't be too nervous - the first time is always the hardest. It will be over before you know it. In fact you'll probably wish it wasn't over so quickly, and you might even want to do it again. You'll definitely wonder why you waited so long. Hang on, what are we talking about? :-P

You kind of wear the Iphone, not use it, its more of a fashion statment than a usable device. So it should sell very well, as there a lot of fashion victims out there more than willing to throw their cash away.

Once u get past the fancy jerky spinny menu thing, the Iphone is way past its sell by date. I mean come on, a 2MP camera!, they were around on phones like 4 years ago.

Jealous... play with one, then come back...

Yeah, anybody who claims to be a techie salivates at the mention of iphone.

Now I've got a Terminal installed on my iPhone... it really is having an on-line unix box in my pocket!!! That is brilliant from my point of view!

Windows mobile devices do pretty much the same thing but in complete absence of a sense of style.

Now I have a jail broken iPhone, I would agree with you... except the iPhone has an extra feature of "it just works"... my Old WindowCE PocketPC was contantly crashing and getting it to do stuff was a struggle... trying to run 3rd party apps, etc... it was not a joy to use (Though I still miss it, as it ran UAE rather well)...

I debated getting an iphone, but eventually just bought a motorola A780 off Ebay.  It's Linux, does most of what iphone does, the camera is a little skimpy at 1.3 MP and you have to stick a card into it to have room for mp3s, but it was 100 US dollars and all I had to do was transfer my SIM card...

I've not tried a Linux based mobile device, I expect that they have similar advantages over WinCE devices in that regard.

Yeah sorry for giving my opinion on the Iphone.  I got it all wrong they are a really useable and powerful mobile device, packed with technology, and not a piece of catalogue boy’s jewellery at all.

See, it didn't take long for you to see the light! That, my friend, is the power of Apple's marketing machine.

-Edit- Is catalogue boy a complement?

The two news items are totally unrelated.

There is no iPlayer because current iPhone has no 3G.

The BBC have chosen ~500Kbps data rate for their streaming... Edge tops out at around 230Kbs in my experience... It's a shame they don't offer two streams... But I knew the iPhone was Edge based when I bought it... When I upgrade (when apple bring out a 32Gig version) I would expect it to have 3G.

I'll give my existing iPhone to my younger brother, it will be fine for his needs... he's only 12 now...

There is no flash player because Apple thinks the current player is too slow to be usable. It can be argued whether this is a problem of the software or the iPhone.

Hmmm, there are lots of conspiracy theories as to why the iPhone has no Flash... I reckon politics has a lot more to do with it than anything else... Steve Job is an ar$ehole when he doesn't get his way... that's how apple survived when all the other companies folded...
