« on: June 16, 2007, 11:07:21 PM »
I don't know the details yet, but Tan-Hauser Gate have been asked to perform on the the KISS FM (main stage) at a festival near Cambridge in July... any of you folks around should down and see us ;-)

Those who want to know what we are like, check out this video recorded at the Clapham Grand:

Could be soon I reckon if Crash is anything to go by.

It starts off like The Stone Roses at first then abruptly changes direction into the Mode territory with a melancholy dash of Joy Division thrown in for good measure.

Very nice. :-)

ps. Which one is thee?

Cheers, Well spotted... the Mode and Joy Division influences are very strong in the current THG line-up!

I'm the geeky Keyboard Player at the back (stage right) behind the enormous Bass Player :-)

Yes, my trusty A1200 was used in the production of our songs. It's great for nice 8bit sampling.

Spent all weekend in the Studio mixing 4 new tracks, including Crash! It was in the studio when someone from the BBC spotted us and asked if we would fill a slot at this festival... I have to find out the details... but as I'm the techie one I spend all my time staring at a computer screen and various bit of equipment rather than taking to random people from the BBC :-)

Well, they were both talented keyboard players so I expect Bloodline doesn't mind the comparison too much ;-)

Were? Why the past tense? But Karlos is right I have no problem being compared to genuinely talented people... even if it is just for my unusual haircut :-D

I should note that Vince Clarke was a massive synth influence on my life...

I was thinking about the time when they "were" simultaneously talented keyboardists and had strange haircuts / tendency not to move.

Ahhh, right! Yeah that makes sense! Vince is bald now... and prefers to play guitar on stage...
