Don't bother messing around with your CAS settings, unless you paid top dollar for your RAM... the SPD of the DIMM will automagically set the right setting. if you get it wrong you'll have to clear the CMOS which is never a fun thing to do.

Hum,
are you sure?
You can just enter the bios again and set it to a a slower speed (at worst you may have to reset it back to `default` or `super-duper-turbo-mode`)


Jup... made the mistake many years ago of setting some CAS 3.0 RAM to 2.0... system couldn't even get to the BIOS :-(
