I expect IBM will stop producing the 970 at the end of the year/early next year. Don't expect to see any further development of desktop PPC chips.

Freescale will continue to develop their lowpower 7447 family of chips. These could be used by Amiga companies I guess.

Who is "they"?

EyeTech have clealy stated that there will be no new "Amiga" designs.
