I upgraded to an A1200 and this came with a heavier PSU which looked different - more like the CD32 PSU (completely sealed, no screws, with a 'ribbed' top) but in beige.
Was the weight anything to do with the amount of power these things could supply i.e. was a heavier PSU able to supply more power?
My A1200 PSU was filled with, what looked like resin... that made it really heavy... my A500 PSU was just a transformer in a box..
