I'm giving up on Remus
« on: December 23, 2009, 04:24:12 PM »
I have been trying to patch a standard 3.1 ROM image with many modules or system files (one at a time) and then softkick it with BlizKick. The result is always the same. Remus doesn't report a problem when i compile the new image, but i keep get an error message from blizkick, saying that it can't softkick the image. Blizkick works OK with ROM images that are not modified by Remus.
 Any ideas on what i can do about it?

@lionstorm
Buffers are for external modules.
The error message is:
Quote
Couldn't kick file 'devs:kickstarts/rom3.1.remus'!
c:BlizKick failed returncode 10

 There isn't a verbose option to my knowledge.

@matthey
 Ok. I will contact him.

well if you remove the "QUIET" from the command line, you 'll have the verbose mode ;-)

 Right. I have tried that.

Have you tested the ROM with WinUAE, or mumaprom to see if it works OK?

 I can't make mumaprom to work at all for some reason. It asks for a .pch file, but nevermind about this.
I know that BlizKick is able to softkick such images. I tried to use the FORCE option. It doesn't work either.

Use "EXTRESBUF" option to gain more space?

 It didn't help.

EDIT: Ok. Problem solved. It was all my fault.
