@jedcooper
 Thank you.
 Since this guide is for AOS 3.x, i think that you should convert it to a text file or an older version of PDF, as APDF can't handle it.

good point! i didn't consider that.
could you quickly tell me what PDF version APDF needs?

 Version 1.3 or older.

i simply upload the new file to aminet then? new readme with "Replaces: xxxx" etc.?

 I'm not sure.

edit:

as i can see now it works flawlessly with ghostscript. but you're right, not everyone has ghostscript, and even on low-end machines it's terribly slow.

 You are right. GhostScript is able to handle up-to-date PDFs, but yes, it is terribly slow. I believe you can use it to also convert a PDF file..

it's not working correctly with APDF because of the fonts used in ms word 2007 i guess. :(

 Yeah. Last version of APDF was released at 1999 or something.

.html format is not accepted for upload, and this would be also not the best idea, as one would need a browser to look at the html, and lynx is a browser :) some ppl might get it via FTP...
to do a .txt file i would lose all my formatting... hmms...

amigaguide format would be great. but i have to read through the scripting/developing how this might work.

 There are tools on Aminet that allow you to create AmigaGuide files without much hassle. I don't remember their names though. You either have to do a search or wait for someone else to answer this.
 I suppose the most convenient choise for you is to create a v1.2 or 1.3 PDF.
