I did find this youtube video that shows some of the features of opalpaint, I did like the fill paint feature (view around 3:14)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwUO4qQ56kQI had limited experience with it years ago on a friends computer, it did seem a little slow but was 24bit.
The Brush/effect? too was nice too. Choose an effect (eg emboss) and paint with custom shape brush.
