Oh yes ofcourse but one shouldn't criticize people when mention word "collection" because as it seems, majority of this forum own more than one machine and I really doubt the fact that all are really used.
And oh yeh, I hate to do little holes in my Amigas! But hey let's do it in our own way and keep it fun, yes? BTW I love iGame/WHDLoad for how it beautifully makes all stuff run.
Well, you can own a classic car and drive it now and again, I think they were referring to the so called collectors who buy stuff up, shove it in a closet and never touch it until the prices go up-profiteering. i have many machines myself and 50% were dead ones i revived and or rebuilt, the rest i either bought or were given to save them from the dump. Everyone should have 2 of each amiga flavor

-waits for flames- lol
I do use them but not every day(well my 4k/mediator/csppc runs 24/7 and is used daily),and they are in many different configs which makes them fun. When i ran my small store i used many as a hardware test bed.
I too hate seeing Amiga cases hacked up, it doesn't bother me to do it on old yellowed ones that are not pristine, that being said if you are going to make holes, do it right, not like a chainsaw ate it.
Part of the fun is making Mods to them.
I found a nice way to add a aluminum angle piece under my c128DCR that has all the switches and buttons i need, it uses 2 case screws underside to hold it,and the cable goes thru a gap between top and bottom case,no mods at all to the 128 this way and if i ever want to remove them, just unbolt it.
