Title pretty well describes my predicament.
I have a microdrive formatted on a GVP Combo '030 board with GVP ROM 4.5.
I replaced the Combo board with a GVP A2000 HC+8 Series II rev. II for just the memory and SCSI interface.
Installed cables and turned the 2000 on.
I see the microdrive being polled and it acts like it's going to load, but then it just stops and the power light blinks once, then 6 more blinks.
Really don't want to have to reformat the drive as it has 3.9 installed and my 3.1 install disk is getting read errors so getting back to 3.9 will be a journey.

p.s. Yeah, I'm digging into my stuff pretty deep to determine what I want to keep and what I would be willing to part with. Just don't have enough room to keep it all.
Is termination right?
Are you trying to run 030 software on a 68000? i ask this since you removed the combo030 and now its
it sounds like its loading something and crashing. Tried booting with no user-startup? likely the same thing will happen,but worth a try.
