Stock A600's draw very little current(assuming compact flash for hard drive), and a A500 psu could run 2 of them if they are not expanded and the power supply is in good shape. the A500 psu has 4.5 amps usually. The 600/1200 psu is weak and not up to the job.You could solder a additional psu cable onto the psu board. I don't know of any ready made adapters.
