bank should be able to track him via the transfer if he hasn't closed the account and ran.

But never pay with cash,western union,or such. a credit card is the best method because even if paypal drops the ball, credit card companies(decent ones) usually offer buyer protection. You can call them and have your money back by the next day in most cases and they will go after the theif. Luckily i only had to test this once and i was happy to get my money back.
