ok I want to get my A1200 on my Wireless LAN.  I think I have a compatible prism card I can use with the driver from Aminet.  But how do I handle the encryption?  I am using WEP now.  Can it be done or am I stuck going unsecure?

wep is pretty much useless(takes maybe a minute to break it), so i wouldn't call it security. Most wireless cards that work on amiga handle wep fine. If you want WPA (much better)then the card must support it. There are ways to hack the orinoco gold and netgear ma401's firmware to handle WPA/WPA2.
there was a thread here with a guy selling them i think:

Not entirely useless though. It's a huge step from having no security at all with an open network. So how do I crack WEP if I wanted to? Is there a program that can be downloaded to hack into WEP connections on my behalf?

I flashed my MA401 so I could use WPA and it works, but it seems to freeze my Amiga after a while now...but this could be my old AmiTCPv3 which is 20 years old. I ordered Roadshow a week or two ago but haven't tested it yet. I'm hoping this will fix the problem.

desiv put a link to show WEP cracking i think. its incredibly vulnerable and easy to break. whitelisting mac addresses doesn't help either..

I have a few netgear ma401's i would like to upgrade. mind sending me a pm on how/what you need to do it? save me some googling and trial and error ;)
