I just tried this on my A3000 040/40 MHz and A1200 060/50 MHz setups. It looks really sweet and promising ! But it's not usable at the moment. I hope Jörg can eliminate SDL dependencies and switch to Amiga native libraries in time. It can be a really usable and perfect browser then !

For the interested, this port needs 15+bit screenmode, so if you don't have a gfx board & Cybergfx/Picasso96 installed, do not bother.

Keyboard input doesn't seem to work yet, so I just strolled around in google. Also there are no adress bars/ scroll bars and stuff. But it works, and it's great :)

A3000 has 80mbs, A1200 has 128mbs. It uses about 10-15mbs on startup, and increases to 30-35 mbs. Though I just browsed google news and stuff, and it may get worse ...

At the moment it takes about 20-30 secs to fully render a page with some images (google news). Google entry page without any images takes about 5 secs or something.(hmm actually there's an image there, the google logo)

I used this version. Note that there are actually two libraries to install. 'ixemul.library' and 'ixnet.library'.

I didn't notice much difference. they were both slooooowwww ...

64 mb should be ok I guess. but responsiveness more relies on the processor I think.
