I can understand that you find sellers BIN price too high. I don't get what's it got to do with being genius or stupid though. Would he be a genius is he set a BIN of 100$ ?

I disagree. I've seen more crazy deals at ebay. I'ld say there's a chance he can sell that setup at that price, though rather low. I'ld say he's taking a risk. (risking paying the listing fee and no return for increased profit). A risk I'ld not take, but not stupid.
