never heard complaints from people dealing with leirbag. I don't think it's a hoax either. but the price is little bit steep I would say.
the keyboard problem probably is about the membrane wearing out. you can get a replacement a600 keyboard from ebay, but it'll cost you, and it will wear out in time too, if you plug it in and out often. I can recommend you to build
mmkeyboard interface so that you can use any ps2/usb keyboard with your a600, which connects to the keyboard controller with a pllc socket so a definite solution to the membrane problem. however it may be hard to find a keyboard which will fit into the a600 case.
