the best salvaging program in the universe is definitely dave haynie's disksalv, downloadable from aminet. You'll have to figure out a way to get it on your lowly A 500 though. Or ask for some nice people to copy it on a floppy for you. (I won't, sorry
too far away) even if you manage to run disksalv, it may not be of use for NDOS games (that I am not very sure of) and in that case you're pretty much helpless.
