Amiga 500 1mb chip ram hack

I am interested in doing
this
1mb hack for the a500. I had a dead rev6 board (it was booting, but doesn't read anything from floppy), so I got the rams from there. however, later I realised that my soldering iron was 60w. And I think I damaged some of the memory chips. So I'm not sure if I should go on installing these chips into the working board. what should I do ? Can I find other chips from other hardware ? Has anyone done this hack before ?
