Hi All,
Before I do that however, I will be mounting a IDE cd-rom in OS 2.1. I am going to have to get re-familiar with Workbench. Anyway the other question I have is this, if my SCSI/IDE controller has it's own software for setting up an IDE bus, is IDE-fix97 needed? I know I will need to use something like AmiCDFS to mount the cd-rom part.
Idefix97 isn't needed. Just install a CD filesystem, and enter the correct device and unit number in the CD0 mountfile.
Edit: Idefix97 is only needed to patch the device driver of the onboard ide on a600/a1200/a4000 systems (and of course 4-way ide-splitters for these systems).
The driver in ROM doesn't support CDROM devices.
