Subway USB problems

Hi again...
Bought an Subway USB controller, three of the ports work perfectly, but the forth one does nothing when I plug a device in it, anyone had this problem, or is it just broken?

Have you checked if the usb connector is plugged in the right way on the subway ?

And while I'm at it, do I have to mount USB mass storage devices such as my 4GB datatraveller to show them as drives in my OS?

No you don't have to. Poseidon's massstorage class takes care of that.
 

I had AmigaSys(OS3.1) installed before, and the mass storage devices just showed up as a drive when plugged in, now I have "just" OS 3.9 and Trident installed, Trident finds USB mass storage devices fine, but they dont "show up as drives" anymore ..?

If it's FAT-formatted, do you have FAT95 installed?
 

Could my USB-CDROM be conflicting with the USB stick, because they both use the same massstorage.class in Trident ?

No it doesn't .

Still, the forth usb port isn't working, tried to change the cables around, and the situation remains the same, port n.4 not responding. I'll send the Subway back to Amigakit.eu so they can fix it...

What kind of PSU are you using? Looking at your sig, I see you have a pretty expanded amiga.
 
If you're using the stock A1200 PSU or an A500 PSU you might want to try a heavier one, preferably a converted PC PSU.
