Hi!

I will buy this new adapter for PC: Transcend Compact Flash ATA Adapter (TS0MCF2PC). My question is, that adapter will work on my Amiga 1200? How must setup the PCMCIA CF adapter on Amiga? We need any driver, or work automatically? If yes, drivers download possible (universal driver)?

Sorry, i'm a beginner... Sorry for my bad english :( Thx.

Some people got positive results with compactflash.device and smartmedia adapters.

Quote from cfd 1.27 readme on aminet:
Good news everyone:

I got positive testing reports from CompactFlash, IBM MicroDrive,
Sony MemoryStick and - taadaa! - SmartMedia adapter :^))
It may be required to re-insert the adapter after plugging the
memory card into it. Only for CompactFlash and MicroDrive,
the plugging order is irrelevant.

You can find the driver here:
http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/cfd

You also need fat95, cardpatch and cardreset.

Edit: My Transcend PCMCIA CF adapter works perfect with this driver, but it is a CF only adapter.

This is only for CF too. Thanks for all. I try...

Sorry, the link to the pdf you gave is about a smartmedia adapter, so I thought you bought that one.

I googled for TS0MCF2PC, and that adapter is exactly the one I have.
It works like a charm. Just install the software I mentioned in my previous post. You can find it on aminet.

Edit: I successfully tested this adapter with a Sandisk Ultra II 2 GB CF and a Toshiba 128 MB CF.
Like CLS2086 already said, most of the times the CF card itself gives people problems. Usually Sandisk CF cards are the most compatible.
