If you keep on having problems with the PTP class of poseidon, you can try to use PtpDigCam. The PTP class of poseidon is a nice feature, but a bit limited. PtpDigcam uses thumbnails and you can easily select the photo's you want to download. Also the author is very supportive. The latest release from aminet gave me some trouble with my Canon Ixus 75, so I emailed the author. He fixed the bug and sent me an adapted version.
If you are going to try this program, don't forget to either uninstall PTP class of poseidon or unbind it in the camera device settings.

To find out what mode the Deneb uses, start Trident and go to the controllers section. If you use denebdmausb.device the deneb uses DMA mode. If it uses denebpiousb.device it uses PIO mode. If you happen to use the DMA driver, try to use the PIO driver and see if you still get errors.

The Amiga is a 4000D with Cyberstorm MKII 060 and Cybervision 3D with Scandoubler and x-Surf 3c.

You didn't answer Michaels question regarding the V9 firmware of the Deneb. V9 is supposed to fix some DMA problems of the Deneb in combination with a Cybervision 3D. You can find it here (in the support/updates section).
Also don't forget to remove the pio driver in tridentif you're going to try the dma driver (a bit obvious, but I thought I should mention this).

Edit: Sh!t !!! I need some eyeglasses. Just read you flashed the deneb with v9. Maybe you should email Michael so he can investigate this problem.

Edit2: BTW which version of poseidon are you using? The latest is 4.2 and I believe some improvements were made to the PTP class.

Hmmm, that's really weird. I'm using a Cyberstorm MK II 060 myself, and I have no problem with Poseidons PTP class. Also PTPdigcam runs fine on my system.

I've got the latest version of the 060.library, 040.library and 040Dummy.library in L:

I assume you mean you've got them installed in LIBS: instead of L:.

I really think you should contact Michael Boehmer of E3B. Maybe he knows what's going on, once he looks into it.

There's nothing special in my startup-sequence. I'm not running cyberguard, but I do run Cyberpatcher (have it in my wbstartup drawer).
In my system the deneb is running in DMA mode.

Have you tried to install both the Cyberstorm and the Deneb card in your a3000 and see if it works ok there.

BTW I assume you have some RAM installed on the cyberstorm. Check if the simms are ok (ram test).
