I'm sorry I sorta snatched it from ya, but read on and you'll "understand"
1) At least I came here and posted ASAP to save you the trip
(and it would have been a painful and costly one, read on) (Luckily he also updated the CL ad to reflect the fact, rather quickly. Most lamers don't do that, which is really annoying)
2) It would have been the worse nightmare for you, trying to get here from Oakland, and believe me, you would NOT get to where he lives without a car. The bus doesn't go into the mountainous terrain where his house is. Dunno if you saw it on the map, but it's a labyrinth of worlds (anybody got the subtle hint?
, and you'd have to carry a heavy and extremely dirty box. And in the end for what? $10-20 for the trip and $100's at a chiropractor for a broken back and an A1000 and parts. Not sure if it has anything special, I can let you know when I clean it up and peek inside.
3) Most important part: this bizatch was mine, as in I sorta "deserved" it, and here's why. Last week he posted about Amiga stuff and some Mac and TRS80 gear (he still has the non-Amiga stuff in case you want). But when I went over he said "I can't find the Amiga stuff, except some books", so I took the books and grumbled. Then he showed me the Mac and TRS80 stuff and I thought he was just getting rid of it completely, so when he asked for 50$ for one of the Macs I didn't have any on me, so I gave him like $10 for a yellow Mac coz I felt bad. When leaving I said: if you DO find the Amiga stuff, send an email or give me a call, I'll come get it. Well, he obviously found the Amiga stuff and posted on CL for no money (so why didn't he call/email me?), but I only found out thanks to you
So thank you! At this point I still didn't know it was the same guy, and had no clue as to where he was. But earlier today when I called his #, I heard the voice and realized it's the same guy. So I had a head-start: I knew how to get there and back. I had spent 30 mins going (by car) and another 30 back. So I did "double duty".

I'll keep you in mind for first dibs on items I might not need or wanna sell, before going to eBay/CL. Come to think of it, I have a color HP printer that works with Amigas natively. Anyone interested? I'm on the borderline about selling it or not. I also got a few spare CBM monitors (those for sale but I might be able to deliver if in the bay area) if yours burns out.
