Please could anybody tell me how to watch videos from the internet like you tube and what program I need to watch them as I have not much idea how to do this.thanks

From the following archive install "getVideo" into your SYS:c and install "getVideo.rexx" into your SYS:s/AREXX:
http://aminet.net/search?query=getvideo
From the following archive install "wget" into your SYS:c
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=utility/misc/wget-bin.lha
From the following archive install the entire directory and contents "Clipdown" anywhere you wish:
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=utility/filetool/clipdown.lha
If you don't have an A/V player like MPlayer installed, you'll need that as well.
From the following archive install the file "Mplayer" from the subdirectory "GenericPPC" into your SYS:c or change the tooltype in Clipdown:
VPLAYER = [path to MPlayer]
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=video/play/mplayer.lha
You may also wish to change the tooltype in Clipdown:
SAVE_PATH = [your path]

For simple streaming with NO saving:
(1)Copy a url from vid you wish to view to clipboard - Note that you can perform this step after starting clipdown as well.
(2)Start clipdown and select "play with getvideo" from the pull down menu
(3)Click on "Play (GetVideo)"
(4)If getvideo understands the url you copied to your clipboard, you'll get a panel of choices for playback formats after the file is accessed. Note that not all links will work. Also, utube changes it's addressing so you will want to check for current versions of getvideo and keep it up to date.
(5)Click on any one of the formats offered. Depending on your h/w you might want to use a lower resolution.

The other options in the Clipdown pull down menu such as "Save with GetVideo" should also work just fine.

Let me know if this works or if I left something out. heh.

Thanks very much for your input but I`m still abit lost I can not seem to find SYS.s/AREXX to put the get video sorry about this but my knowlage of the Amiga is not good.

You should have a directory on OS4.x - SYS:s/AREXX
The file inside the archive:
http://aminet.net/search?query=getvideo
named "getVideo.rexx" should be moved TO your SYS:s/AREXX drawer.

Let me know if this still isn't clear.

I done  a find SYS:s/AREXX but all I got is No File Found

SYS:s/AREXX is not a file. It's a directory/drawer.

I rewrote the instructions in Post #4, just referring to the specific files required from -within- the archives.

If you have a disk directory utility like diskmaster or directory opus, you should be able to just copy the required files I refer to -from- the archives -to- your system.
