When I surfed to http://www.amiga.com today I read this in the about section:

"In 2001, Amiga, Inc. entered into a license for the development of AmigaOS 4.0 with AmigaOne® Partners, collectively Hyperion VOF and Eyetech Group Ltd. The license agreement was terminated on December 20, 2006."

I thought Hyperion settled this together with Amiga Inc a while ago? Or do they mean something else?

It means what it says. The license agreement was terminated on that date. The lawsuit followed:
Amiga Inc v. Hyperion VOF
Settlement papers were filed at the conclusion of the legal activity.

It sounds like #6 understands it and has it all figured out.  I can't say I do.

You give me too much credit. I'm not a lawyer, nor do I speculate on the documentation and what it means.
Judgments are judgments. Settlements are settlements.
These are two different things.
If it helps to understand recent events since settlement, these things are often tested. We've seen this.

I think the better track here is to continue the threads that focus on thinking about the future. I see a few...
