PCMCIA wireless NIC problem
« on: July 11, 2005, 03:22:46 PM »
I'm trying to set up a PCMCIA wireless NIC and I've run into a little snag. Miami doesn't seem to recognise the card. When I run the MiamiInit program and try setting the SANAII device name to networks/prism2.device it says that it can't find the device and maybe it's in use. This drawer and device definitely exist in the Devs directory of my Workbench and I'm typing in the name correctly. Is there anything immediately obvious I could be doing wrong?

Yeah I'm familiar with it. I have cardreset and cardpatch launching in my s:user-startup file. It wouldn't really matter though because I booted the Amiga with the card already in the slot.

Problem solved. It was a bent pin on the PCMCIA port. It's fixed now and I'm enjoying wireless goodness.

Thanks for everyone's help.
