The X500 Evo mechanical keyboard and custom Amiga keys
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:35:21 AM »
The mechanical keyboard used in the X500 Evo computer case.

Click on video.

Select 720/1080p HD.

Standalone USB keyboards for Amiga, AmigaOne, MOS, AROS and PC set ups are available...I got carried away when I was ordering the keyboards...so I've a got some extra ones with extra set of Amiga keys if anyone is interested. ;)

Thank you.

@EVERYONE

I've taken some photos quickly (I've got to dash to work...)

The key set is at version 9, I'd like to make another set (version 10) and then stop.
Anything you want added/removed? The one you see is mine (I've got Windows and Amiga symbols etched on the keypad). :)

This is the same keyboard that is going inside the X500 Evo. A full size, mechanical keyboard. The one shown has Blue Cherry MX switches.

I need to know how many people are interested in a standalone USB version so I can decide the price for it, as usual the more people we have the lower the price.

So please let me know and let me know the type of switch, at the moment I can get Blue, Red and Black switches (no Brown...out of stock).

I'd say a few days and then I'll order them so first come first served.

Thank you.

PS: I've been asked to make a butterfly MOS key for MOS users (amigaworld.net), if anyone has a nice MOS butterfly email it to me: amigarulez@hotmail.com

Nice! Are Finnish/Swedish layout available? (Or atleast special keys if they are same colour & compatible with some Cherry kb models?). I'd intrested in both all black and "original" colour versions.

Any language layout available. :)

Anyone knows if it's possible to buy just the keycaps and install them on a Razer Blackwidow tournament (small one) stealth?

Hello,

I've launched a Kickstarter campaign for keys and keyboards:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/505470364/amiga-inspired-key-caps-for-mechanical-keyboards

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=69725

Spread the news and pledge! :D

To answer your question, yes they should fit the Razer Blackwidow Tournament as, from what I know, the Tournament uses a clone of the Cherry MX switches.
