Hi there and welcome.
You may now have an excellent opportunity to dig out that old A1200 and resurrect her. No cluncky old 120MB drive - you could now put in a 120GB drive - either 2.5" laptop variety or a 3.5" regular type with a bit of physical modification of the case in order to fit and an IDE adapter kit. Why cry for a 68030 board when you could now upgrade to a 68060 or PPC board with lots of fast ram and maybe a fast SCSI II adapter connected to an external SCSI CD or DVD writer? Although outdated, up till now the A1200 is still the most upgradable Amiga ever made, although a lot of the upgrades need a fair amount of technical experience (or amateur bravery). Swopping out cards is for babies... :-) Good luck and we hope to hear soon that your baby is back in action.
