The hard drives, CD drives etc are on drive rails. There are two catches outboard of the front of the case - press these towards each other, and pull the drive out towards you.

This can be probelmatic if the catches have become bent, in which case you may need to use two screwdrivers to lever the catches inwards.

If you need to disassemble the case further to get to the CS, you can remove the lower strut/drive bay assembly by removing the four screws at the front of the case around the lower drive bays, and two screws at the back of the case. The back of the strut is also held in place with a tab - you need to lift up the back of the strut (around 10mm), and then slide the whole assembly out through the front drive bay aperture. When sliding it out (oo-er) be careful not to catch the RAM on the CS.
