--------Re: OpenPCI support

Here is the original thread which caused this excitement. Perhaps it is worth PM'ing stopthegop to ask for a detailed explanation of what he installed, rather than randomly installing bits of openpci and arrakattack just yet. I believe he is a New Yorker, so he may take overnight to contact.

--------Re: Poseidon/Spider limitations

As I understand it there is no functionality problem with the newer versions of Poseidon working with the mediator/spider. The keyfile is where the modifications have been made. The poseidon keyfiles issued (since the boycott began) are hardware specific - they do not recognise the spider as licensed USB hardware.
Actually, it could be that they do not recognise the spider.device as a valid device driver, in which case if you were using openpci usb device driver this may not be an issue.

Perhaps it is worth asking Chris (Platon) about this.

Tha later versions of poseidon stack Does not work with the mediator card.

Not entirely accurate - if you have a mediator installed there is nothing to stop you using a zorro/clockport usb adapter - Poseidon will still function. There was some talk of Elbox sabotaging their mediator drivers to prevent them working alongside E3B hardware (Subway, Algor, Highway, etc), however how this currently remains hearsay AFAIK.
