Have (finally) installed this and found it much faster than the other VNC solutions out there.

As mentioned above though, it is still a bit slow.

I've tried the arguements "rdesktop NOMOUSE 192.168.1.3" to reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage, but the switch has no effect - the mouse updates are still sent.

Anyone optimised this to be really snappy?

I'm using BPPC/040 Bvision (1024*768*16) setup with warpDT installed (not sure if that makes any difference) and a Netgear MA401 wireless PCMCIA card using AmiTCP/genesis stack.

[EDIT] - just visited the website - latest version now has NOMOUSE support, and is further optimised.  Requires donation for access.  I eagerly await the latest version through email.
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

The latest version is a lot faster and nicer than the previous (free) version.

I`d highly recommend getting it - just send a donation using PAYPAL - the URL is in one of the posts above.

The e-mail arrived overnight with the archive as attachment - Thanks Darren!

Darren is also going to ask the developers to look at compiling a WOS version (currently there is only 68K, MOS & OS4).

This beats the ass off of Amiga VNC.  :-)
