I did something similar a while back.
However, I tend to take my amiga apart every now and again, and the bent pins only survived a few removals-and-replacements before a few of them broke. Confused the hell out of me why my networking suddenly stopped working, as it shwed EXACTLY the same symptoms as a power shortage I'd fixed a few weeks before.
