CD32 nonvolatile save sizes
« on: December 08, 2005, 09:13:25 PM »
Ever played a CD32 game untill you reach a save point, only to be greeted with "Not enough space, please reset and delete some saves"?

I have.

So I decided to look for a database of nonvolatile save sizes, but couldn't find any (but found some information on single games)

Therefore, I decided to start doing a small database of all games I have & all information I could find online, and here's what I've got untill now:

Alien Breed 3D - Codes
Banshee - None
Brian the Lion - 3 - supports multiple saves
Chaos Engine - Codes
Darkseed - 52 - supports multiple saves
Deluxe Galaga - 4
Disposable Hero - None
Fury of the Furries - 3
Gunship 2000 - 24
Heimdall 2 - 39 - seems to vary, can be bigger / smaller
Legacy of Sorasil - 24
Lemmings - Codes
Liberation - 47
Litil Divil - 1
Microcosm - 1
Pinball Fantasies - 26
Pinball Illusions - 5*3 (separate saves for different tables)
Pinball Prelude - 6*3 (separate saves for different tables)
Pirates Gold - 78
Sensible Soccer European Champions - disk
Speedball 2 - Codes
Subwar 2050 - 1 for Options, 24 for Pilot
Super Stardust - Codes
Syndicate - 22 - supports multiple saves
UFO - Enemy Unknown - 84
Universe - 18
Wing Commander - 12 - supports multiple saves

I also listed some games that don't support nonvolatile saves (and maybe have codes instead)

Of course, feel free to correct any errors & add unlisted games :-)

Simon the Sorcerer - 73 blocks
Cannon Fodder - 57 blocks

Cannon Fodder nuked ALL my previous saves, I know many of them were protected too! :-(

I really wonder why? Could have spared at least both 1 block saves...

and here is my little database for new year 2006 :)

I thought it was MY database, at least untill you pasted it to your webpage without asking my permission :-)

Well, not a big deal, you would have got your permission anyway...

Feel free to add any games added since then... And remember to warn about Cannon Fodder deleting ALL other saves :-(
