UAE4Android - What Adroid device are you using?
« on: January 07, 2011, 10:14:14 PM »
Hi,
I've been putting off getting a new phone for far too long and I'm now seriously considering upgrading to an Android based device.

I know others here are using UAE4Android and I'm just curious about what device your using. I would appreciate hearing any pros and cons about these devices as well.

Regards,
AmigaEd

I have a Motorola Backflip (AT&T.) It's one of the lower end devices (CPU and memory-wise,) but it's nice because it has an actual keyboard and seems to be enough for UAE.

@tone,
I'm currently on AT&T also, but have been considering switching carriers if another looks better for me. It seems that AT&T is having a bit of trouble grasping the idea of the "open" nature of Android OS. As a result most of their phones seem to be lagging behind on the Android version. I'm also a bit disappointed with the choices available directly through AT&T. Looking at it differently though, at least there are choices as opposed to the iPhone.

Have you rooted your Backflip?

My coworker has a Mini and he is also thinking about getting an Android phone. I'll have to show him the link you've provided. I'm sure that will peak his interest!:)
