>4MB pcmcia memory patch?

I'm looking to revive my old A1200, it currently contains an Apollo 1230 Turbo LC card w 4MB installed.  The specs for the card indicate it's not pcmcia friendly with more than 4MB and that the max simm that can be used is 8MB.

Is there any patch or workaround available to map the pcmcia memory address to a different location and allow >4MB to be used and for it not to conflict with the pcmcia slot??  I am hoping to add a wireless ethernet card shortly.

Secondly, the specs for the card inidicate the max simm size is 8MB and the board actually has jumpers to select 4MB or 8MB, what happens if I add a larger simm, is there any chance it would work and the full amount would get recognized?  Has anyone tried this with this card?

Further details of the card can be found here
