I had a look at Samba and decided it was too much effort to set up. (I can be rather lazy)

However, someone did suggest that I try RC-FTPd, and I swear by it now.

It works fine here. On my LAN I have my 3000, my wife's 3000 and my stupid Win98 box. I use it to move files from my machine to my wife's or to the PC.



I can only agree! This is how I use it:
RC-FTPd on my A4000 and FileZilla on my Wintel-box running Win XP and it works great! It's much faster than using samba aswell.
