It'll actually be faster on a dual core phenom  :)
Winuae is more or less single threaded and 6 core phenoms have a smaller cache per core, which'll hurt emulation.
My 3 year old core2duo amithlon box will blitz that system  for "amiga" speed :P

That aside though I still prefer my a1200 most of the time. We all know that x86 hardware can deal with doom nicely, even when using an emulated cpu. Ive never really understood why people seem to think the fact that emulation is faster means much. If you enjoy it though good luck to you.

Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

@Digiman

A reasonable arguement about Winuae being free if it's what a person was actually paying for with with AmigaForever, which youve been told more than a few times isnt the case, yet you persist with the same invalid arguements.
You also get a legal source of kickstart rom images, plus a legal copy of amiga OS(es), a customised version of knoppix, a customised front end, assorted (entertaining) videos, amiga explorer, and other bits and pieces. Seems quite reasonable for the price to me.
I really dont understand the "logic" in hating someone for trying to make a few dollars back on an invesment, especially someone who has also given away some nice software theyve written for free. Additionally theyve also contributed money to AROS kickstart replacement bounty.

Weird thing is though, youve been told this before, yet you still continue to make negative arguements about things you know the truth about.

Amiga Forever isnt for you, fine, but your invalid "arguements" are getting tiring.
