Not really anything to do with the "news" item, but what is it with AmigaOS4.x advocates feeling the need to post "news" about pretty much every single piece of software that get's recompiled for OS4.x.?  They're the only amiga platform that does it. Even though the same software is ported for other amiga platforms, and often beforehand, it's very rarely mentioned in a news item.

Not something I'm going to lose sleep over, just an observation.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Sure, it wasnt a criticism, just an observation. OS4 seems to be the only system where it's advocates post "news" items about pretty much everything that gets recompiled for it. For example where's the news items about new AROS Mame, or AROS SuperTuxKart, or AROS cubosphere, or even AROS Amifig (of which is the basis for the new versions available for MOS/OS4.x) and about a million others? Or the ports of the same sort of software for OS3.x ?  (which is just as active and recieves the same sorts of ports).
Again, not a criticism, just an observation.

There is only one Amiga 'platform' and they are the ones that run the official Amiga Operating System.  The current version being 4.1 update 2.  All the rest with absolute respect are alternative operating systems that have the 'feel' of being Amiga only, we all know this.

AROS and MorphOS developers/porters are free to post their own news items, if indeed they are 'very rarely mentioned in a news item' as you say then perhaps they should post more often.  Although I feel you are wrong I often log on I see new developments on both of these alternative 'platforms' eg. AMC news from phoenixkonsole and announcements about Icaros Desktop from paolone.

Its all a storm in a tea cup.

Let me respond to this with the seriousness it deserves.....

Blahblah, blahblahblah. Blah blah blah. Blahblah blahblahblah  blah blah blahblah. Semantics, blah, blahblah, semantics.
Blah blah, read what I wrote properly, blahblahblah. Blahblah blahblah, mentioned about 5 times it's not criticism, but an observation, blahblah. *recompiles* I said, not new development, blahblah.

wrong about that...OS4.x news posted here is a small fraction of that on other Amiga sites

That may or may not be the case, but is also very off topic/irrelevant to the comments made by haywire. Whether or not there's other developments in OS4.x-land doesnt change the fact that OS4.x is the only faction of the amiga community that seems to post "news" items about anything and everything someone compiles for it.

I knew I was potentially going to get some schmucks taking offense to a simple observation (why I mentioned it was just an observation 5 times in 3 posts), but it seems some people just cant help themselves.
