I voted for him being sent to Vulcan, but more to show the Vulcans and that they'll see it's logical to start using "amiga" based systems. The main downside here though is that it will probably start a war
slight sidenote, but wasnt Vulcan destroyed in the most recent movie? (which was chronologically the 1st movie if memory serves correctly?)
