I agree with your comment about iPhone. My son recently got an iPod touch machine and I was really amazed by what that little unit could do, including wireless internet access through our router. It can't operate as a cell phone, but it can easily do the normal stuff I do on the internet, plus play music, photos, videos, etc.
I'd find a Sam more confortable to use as a desktop machine rather than a iPhone...
