X-Surf 3 + EasyNET Woes!
« on: November 28, 2009, 02:06:38 PM »
I just installed my new X-surf. It came with 2 CDs, one contains the X-Surf drivers and the other one EasyNET from AmigaKit.

If I try to install X-Surf drivers first, it says that it needs a TCPIP stack installed (EasyNET), and if I try to install EasyNET first, it tells me to make sure that the drivers for the network card are already installed!!!

Arghhh :) help!

I keep getting this:

AmiTCP version 3 or later must be started first - repeatedly.

@Amigakit

I did this:

1. Freshly install Amiga OS3.9
2. Copy x-surf.device to Devs/Networks
3. Install and setup EasyNet

Whey I click connect I get this:

AmiTCP version 3 or later must be started first for a couple of times.

Yes I have selected X-Surf as my device and selected 20 mbit full Dublex.

Help :(

Ok, the problem wasn't the cable. I have now installed Genesis stack from OS3.9 and worked great. On the other hand I never managed to get EasyNet working, but I do remember leaving DOMAIN NAME option blank. Maybe thats why. Will try it tomorrow.
