I'd talk to the seller regarding the damage. Unless it was packed professionally the chances are good that the damage came in transit to you. I had this happen with a C128 monitor last year. Looked great on the web but was damaged when it arrived.
I don't think I'll spend additional $$ on a monitor that has to be shipped unless it's very rare and the seller uses a professional to pack it.
