Very nice trip report, Robert! Sorry I missed you last week at AmiWest! My aging border collie is not doing well so I watched via the web and took care of my boy.
I had a trip to England planned in 2004, had the tickets and found out I had to have surgery to repair a birth defect in my heart. Some choice, go on the trip or possibly not see 2005. I chose surgery!
I was stationed in Essex at Wethersfield, near Braintree, in 1969. Nothing but great memories of my time there. Hopefully I'll be able to make-up for my 2004 trip in the next year or so. Although I better get some $$ stashed before I go if I plan to visit Matthew!!
