The Original Amiga Booth Babe

Remember NewTek's trade show booth?  If you attended an Amiga show in the late '80s and early '90s you were treated to the demos of Kiki Stockhammer from New Tek.  Kiki then left NewTek for Play in Sacramento.

Kiki is still here in Sacramento and has a Star Trek themed band.  Check her band out (and Kiki too) at:

I heard Kiki and the band on a local TV show a couple of years ago.  It was interesting but some of the attempts to hook to StarTrek were rather over the top.  I did think the title of their single was interesting.  I'm sure that it has nothing to do with boldly going where no man has gone before!

So what were her talents anyway?  ;-)

I think some of her lovely talents are quite obvious.  She really is very sharp and contributed to the marketing at both NewTek and Play, Inc.  The last time I saw Kiki was at a Mac Expo (for Play).  She has the ability to talk about a product for hours.  Seriously, I've never seen anyone deliver a sales pitch in a booth like Kiki did.
